A different look at life

I’m seeing things from a different perspective this weekend.

Sandra left this morning with some ladies to a Women of Faith event, and will be back at some point on Sunday afternoon.

She went with some of the same ladies last November, as well.  It’s a bit easier this year, as she left Thursday morning.  As well, we had a foster child at the time.  Reid is now walking.  Last year, he had to go in the stroller or be carried.  Tate doesn’t need to be dropped off and picked up at the door of school.

I had a bit of a taste of the running to appointments.

We had an appointment to see a physiotherapist with Reid at the kids developmental centre in our area.  It was partly to assess his need for orthotics.  WOW, not cheap for little ones.  On the bright side, he has come a really long way in the last year.  He walks well, climbs (not new), jumps, and does stairs.  He still drags one foot a bit, and it’s worse when he is tired.  He really has progressed.

He is having a nap, which is a great thing.  It’s a chance to chill.  And not worry about what he’s getting into.

I’m not sure exactly what I’ll do with these guys this weekend.  The weather is supposed to be nice, so I should squeeze in some outdoor activities before it gets too cold and miserable.

The key will be attitude, especially with Tate.

It was looking like rain this morning, and he was giving me grief about having to wear his rain boots.  When we were getting ready to go, it looked dark.  Not too much after we dropped him off, it was raining quite heavily, and rained all morning.
