Happy Reformation Day!!

October 31 is a day celebrated for many reasons, most famously for Halloween, or All Saints Eve.

I was unaware until I was much older that I realized that October 31 was the day that Martin Luther nailed his 95 thesis to the door of the church in Wittenburg.

Luther’s protest against the church’s sale of indulgences was a key event that triggered the Reformation.

This day is much more famous for celebrating Halloween.

For several years, our church has hosted an alternative event.  This year, we joined with another church in a community close to us.

It was different, as it is a smaller facility.

As well, we are still feeling some of the after effects of Hurricane Sandy, which caused a great deal of damage in the Eastern US.  We are just getting a great deal of rain.  The rain forced everyone to be inside.

At the end of it, fun was had by all.
